I can't do anything, it's absolutely hopeless! Tried the Prevx fix and it would only reboot successfully once. Does this give you any clue to why I got my problem ? I spent 2 hours on the phone with Microsoft just to be told either reset back to windows 7 or wait 48 hours to speak with a level 2 tech. The NAS was responding to a certain point, don't know which, didn't care, rebooted it (It was a QNAP Turbo NAS 219P) Then tried again, now that Windows didn't try to Followed your advice about the jumpers and as if by magic Windows could be re loaded. I've re-started my machine, I've tried interrupting the start to get to the safe mode of starting and that's not working. I tried different usb even formatting them but the problem continues. Rebooting didnt help at all either. I do have it Duel Booting into XP also and that works fine.
