So i started thinking maybe it was an IRQ conflict. I had this problem where my PC failed apon bootup at the Mup.sys file, and did a google search which lead me here. so first i copied all vital files i needed to second hd. I don't think the HD is bad because I ran the boot diagnostics and it recognized the HD. This is how i did it. Did some investigating and managed to find the source of the problem by pressing F8 and selecting the VGA option.
